Position:   Team Leader – Electro Mechanical Assembly

Site: Based Hitchin 

Ref: HN-TLM-0519

Reporting to:   Head of Manufacturing

Experience: Only candidates able to demonstrate significant experience in assembly of complex mechanical benchtop-scale products or equivalent will be considered for this position.
Candidates will be required to demonstrate strong team leadership skills, competent use of Microsoft Office and related software, and a thorough understanding of mechanical drawings, tolerancing and cable assemblies.


Leading a dedicated manufacturing team assembling prestigious world-leading high technology products.
Ensure customer schedules and right first-time targets are met with an absolute attention to detail and quality.
Continuously work to improve productivity and conformance to policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support Head of Manufacturing to ensure agreed production plan is achieved:
    • Report against daily/weekly targets
    • Highlight any potential issues/risks that might impact delivery commitments
    • Take pro-active approach to resolve any problems 
  • Ensure agreed daily/weekly output targets are met. 
  • Ensure goods are produced to the highest quality levels including management of incoming material.
  • Ensure all staff are working in accordance with relevant QMS procedures, work instructions and assembly/test documentation.
  • Maintain housekeeping in accordance with agreed levels. 
  • Ensure correct management and bookings of Works Orders. 
  • Training and development of individual team members
  • Ensure ability to team members to meet production and quality targets
  • Ensure adequate cover of key tasks within the team 


Experienced Mechanical/Electro Mechanical Assemblers

Site: Based Hitchin

Reporting to the Department Supervisor/Team Leader you will be responsible for assembly of a range on complex electronic based equipment, including mechanical assembly, integration of pre-assembled PCBs, wiring and final assembly.

Previous experience in assembling complex bench top sized products or similar, and cable assemblies is required. 
Successful candidates must have a positive attitude and able to work  with a high level of dexterity and be capable of using a variety of hand tools.
Good attention to detail and an ability to meet production deadlines is essential.

Test Technician

Site: St Neots

Ref: SN-TTE-0519

As Test Technician you will Report to the Production Manager/Supervisor. 

Your primary duty is to carry out functional testing of complex electronic assemblies in accordance with contractual and quality requirements as well as being able to achieve customer delivery requirements.  You must be PC literate and confident with the use of general purpose test equipment such and PSU, Multimeters, and Oscilloscopes plus be able to diagnose any faulty products down to component level, recommending appropriate corrective actions.

You will also be required to keep accurate test records, carry out any maintenance tasks and aid other disciplines to improve overall cost and quality of product, as well as assisting with any ongoing investigations / initiatives.
