Position:  Quality Inspector (Electro-Mechanical)

Site: Based Hitchin 

Ref: HN-QAI-0819

Reporting to:   Production Supervisor

Experience:

Only candidates able to demonstrate significant experience in a similar role will be considered for this position.

Candidates will be required to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the inspection of pcb assemblies, cable and mechanical assemblies.
Including:

A thorough knowledge of PCBs, electronic component types and their markings.
Ability to read and work with cable harness diagrams
A good working knowledge of mechanical parts, drawings and tolerances.
Proficient in the day to day use of computers and Office software.

Qualifications: Current IPC610 certificate required. Qualified to train others to IPC610 desirable.

Role:

A varied role with strong potential for the successful candidate to develop their experience, whilst providing a valuable contribution to the success of the business.
Working with our current inspection team to provide support to our varied production processes and products including providing constructive feedback as part of a policy of continuous improvement.
Also to work pre-emptively to identify potential for problems before they occur.
Assist the Quality Manager in enhancing Quality reporting.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the Production Supervisor to ensure agreed production plan is achieved to the correct quality:
  • Take pro-active approach to resolve any problems. 
  • Liase with the Quality Manager and Engineeering to highlight issues and areas for improvement.

Experienced Mechanical/Electro Mechanical Assemblers

Site: Based Hitchin

Reporting to the Department Supervisor/Team Leader you will be responsible for assembly of a range on complex electronic based equipment, including mechanical assembly, integration of pre-assembled PCBs, wiring and final assembly.

Previous experience in assembling complex bench top sized products or similar, and cable assemblies is required. 
Successful candidates must have a positive attitude and able to work  with a high level of dexterity and be capable of using a variety of hand tools.
Good attention to detail and an ability to meet production deadlines is essential.

Test Technician

Site: St Neots

Ref: SN-TTE-0519

As Test Technician you will Report to the Production Manager/Supervisor. 

Your primary duty is to carry out functional testing of complex electronic assemblies in accordance with contractual and quality requirements as well as being able to achieve customer delivery requirements.  You must be PC literate and confident with the use of general purpose test equipment such and PSU, Multimeters, and Oscilloscopes plus be able to diagnose any faulty products down to component level, recommending appropriate corrective actions.

You will also be required to keep accurate test records, carry out any maintenance tasks and aid other disciplines to improve overall cost and quality of product, as well as assisting with any ongoing investigations / initiatives.
