Senior Production/Planning Manager

Site: Based Hitchin

This is a key role within our business and as the Senior Production Manager you will have overall day to day responsibility for two manufacturing sites, including all manufacturing processes, people management and quality standards.  The key focus is on the success of the operations achieved by ensuring customer schedules and right first-time targets are met, whilst at the same time, ensuring productivity attainment and conformance to policies and procedures.

This role requires someone who is an excellent communicator and possesses a positive attitude; excellent leadership and management skills; is decisive and able to work with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines and adept at problem resolution.

As well as the above the candidate will require excellent project/manufacturing planning skills and be comfortable analysing statistical information and able to work and communicate at all levels of the business.

Key requirements:

  • Previous experience managing a team in a fast paced environment, preferably within the CEM industry.
  • Ability to support the Senior Management team in developing and implementing the company’s manufacturing strategy.
  • Proven track record of implementing Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to lead change.
  • PC literate with good working knowledge of MS Office including MS Excel and MRP systems.

Test Technician

Site: Hitchin

As Test Technician you will Report to the Production Manager/Supervisor. 

Your primary duty is to carry out functional testing of complex electronic assemblies in accordance with contractual and quality requirements as well as being able to achieve customer delivery requirements.  You must be PC literate and confident with the use of general purpose test equipment such and PSU, Multimeters, and Oscilloscopes plus be able to diagnose any faulty products down to component level, recommending appropriate corrective actions.

You will also be required to keep accurate test records, carry out any maintenance tasks and aid other disciplines to improve overall cost and quality of product, as well as assisting with any ongoing investigations / initiatives.

Junior Production Manager

Site: St Neots

Supporting the Senior Operations Manager you will be responsible for day to day running of our St Neots manufacturing site, including all manufacturing processes, people management and quality standards.

The key focus is to lead a small team of multi skilled staff ensuring customer schedules and right first-time targets are met, whilst at the same time, ensuring productivity attainment and conformance to policies and procedures.

This role ideally suits an experienced Supervisor looking to develop their management career and requires someone who is an excellent communicator and possesses a positive attitude; excellent leadership and management skills; and able to work with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines.

Mechanical/Electro Mechanical Assembly Operators 

Site: Based Hitchin

Reporting to the Production Manager/Supervisor You will be responsible for assembly of a range on complex electronic based equipment, including mechanical assembly, integration of pre-assembled PCBs, wiring and final assembly.

Previous experience is desirable but full training will be provided for candidates with the right potential.  Successful candidates must have a positive attitude with a high level of dexterity and be capable of using a variety of hand tools.  Good attention to detail and an ability to meet production deadlines is essential.

Quality Engineer / Supplier Quality Assessor

Site: Hitchin 

Ref: HN-SQA -1218

Working closely with the Quality Manager and Production Manager your main duties will be ensuring the quality of complex mechanical and electro mechanical parts used in assembly of a range of electronic equipment.

This is a hands on roles and will require inspection of parts to drawings as well as investigating, analysing and resolving supplier quality problems; implementing effective root cause actions, conducting audits, analysing defect trends and working with suppliers to close out actions in a timely manner.

The candidate will also be involved in supporting our internal manufacturing processes in carrying out product & process audits in line with ISO 9001:2015, investigating any non-compliances, and proposing and implement corrective/preventive actions as part of continual improvement program.
